CANCELED: Dover Quartet
Sunday, January 10, 2021 at 3:30 pm

As Strings Magazine observed after this “young American string quartet of the moment” (New Yorker) won every prize at the Banff Competition, received an Avery Fisher Career Grant, and was named a Cleveland Quartet Award-winner, the Dover Quartet’s ascent to chamber music’s uppermost firmament has been “practically meteoric.”
The Dover Quartet, whose name pays tribute to Dover Beach by fellow Curtis alumnus Samuel Barber, is quartet in residence for the Kennedy Center, Chamber Music Northwest, Artosphere, the Amelia Island Chamber Music Festival, Peoples’ Symphony in New York, and the Bienen School of Music at Northwestern University.
“With their exceptional interpretative maturity, tonal refinement, and taut ensemble,” Strad concluded, Dover is “pulling away from their peers.”
