The Academy’s Wind Ensemble is a new adventure for its musicians. Principal clarinetist James Burke says that “We’ve done relatively little all-wind stuff, or wind and piano stuff… so it’s going to be a real treat to do some of that. It’s some of my favorite music… piano-winds, it’s just amazing. It’s one of the best things I’ve ever played.”

Pianist and conductor Simon Crawford-Phillips joins these artists to make music that the Washington Post has called “luminous, often breathtaking.” Sharing these experiences with audiences is what the Milwaukee Sentinel wonderfully described as “good reason to turn off the stereo and go to a real live concert.”
